Wood Dale Man Charged With Aggravated Assault

Aggravated Assault Charge

 

John Verdino, 23, of 1532 Bristol Ln., Wood Dale, was charged with aggravated assault. He was taken into custody at 11:20 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at Arlington Heights Road and Devon Avenue.

 

Theft Charges

 

Tammy Cross, 42, of 7815 Carlisle  Dr., Hanover Park, was charged with retail theft. She was taken into custody Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 801 Meacham Rd. Police did not disclose what was alleged to have been stolen or its value.

Diamonte Williams, 21, of 530 E. 38th Pl., Chicago, was charged with retail theft. He was taken into custody at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 801 Meacham Rd. Police did not disclose what was alleged to have been stolen or its value.

Jonathan Skroko, 31, of 1074 Florida Ln., Elk Grove Village, was charged with retail theft and driving without a valid license. He was taken into custody at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at Wisconsin Lane and Carolina Drive. Police did not disclose what was alleged to have been stolen, its reported value or where or when the alleged theft took place.

 

Trespass Charges

 

Frank Summerville, 31, of 8017 Park Crest Dr., Darien, was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody 12:55 a.m. at Higgins Road and King Street.

 

Hit & Run Charges

 

Ahmed Shariff, 31, of 2N138 Bernice Ave., Glen Ellyn, was charged with failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle and failure to report an accident to police. He was taken into custody at 3:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 at the Elk Grove Village police station. Police did not disclose where or when the alleged accident took place.

 

Traffic Charges

 

Mark Rosa, 30, of 5342 N. Kedzie Ave., Chicago, was charged with disobeying a stop sign and driving without a license. He was cited at 2:26 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26 on westbound Tonne Road at Wildwood Road.

Omolere Afolobi, 21, of 4007 Bonhill Dr., Arlington Heights, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without a valid license. She was cited at 9:45 p.m. at the Elk Grove Village police station. Police did not disclose where or when the alleged accident took place.

Jose Venegas-Sanchez, 41, of 41 E. Black Ave., Addison, was charged with driving without a valid license in a vehicle with improperly tinted windows. He was cited at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25 at Busse Road and Morse Avenue.

Yesenia Lopez-Martinez, 30, of 7500 Elmhurst Rd., Des Plaines, was charged with speeding and driving without a valid license. She was cited at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 at Elmhurst Road and Arthur Avenue.

Agustin Arias-Lopez, 27, of 7222 Marshfield Ave., Chicago, was charged with operating a commercial motor vehicle without a proper CDL drivers license classification in a vehicle with no safety inspection and expired registration. He was cited at 9:20 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 at Elmhurst Road and Touhy Avenue.

Saul Rivas Juarez, 37, of 672 Dempster St., Mount Prospect, was charged with failure to wear a properly fastened seatbelt, driving without a valid license, evidence of registration or insurance. He was cited at 10:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 at Busse Road and Howard Street.

Edwin Morales Flores, 21, of 1986 W. Algonquin Rd., Mount Prospect, was charged with depositing injurious material on a highway and driving without a valid license. He was cited at 3:12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 at Higgins Road and Crossen Avenue.

Albert Youkhana, 30, of 1825 E. Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines, was charged with making an improper turn, driving on a suspended license and obstructing identification. He was taken into custody at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 at 9501 Devon Ave., Rosemont.

Areli Cruz-Carballo, 43, of 3116 Kedvale, Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license and driving a vehicle with only one headlight. She was cited at 2:27 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 at Busse Road and Lunt Avenue.

Josh Collier, 21, of 350 Tonne Rd., Elk Grove Village, was charged with driving without a valid license or vehicle registration. He was taken cited at 9:52 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 at Arlington Heights and Bennett roads.

 

Burglaries & Thefts

 

A Valentine radar detector, valued at $200, was reported stolen from a 2015 Audi parked in a lot in the 1100 block of Devon Avenue sometime between 7 and 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. The thief smashed windows to gain access to the vehicle. Damages were estimated at $200.

A 2017 Ford lift truck containing a back crane and ladders, collectively valued at $130,000, was reportedly stolen from a business in the 0 to 100 block of Randall Street at 1:14 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16.

A wallet, with contents valued at $480, was reportedly stolen from a woman’s purse while she shopped at a grocery store in the 900 block of Meacham Road at 2:51 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14.

 

Property Damage

 

An unknown subject was reportedly seen beating on the windshield of a 2000 Lincoln Continental parked in the 1900 block of Busse Road at 10:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23. The windshield was cracked and the subject seen beating on it fled on foot. Damage was estimated at $400.
