‘Restaurant Week-Plus’ Underway In Palatine

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce (PACC) has kicked off its Restaurant Week, created to encourage ongoing support for Palatine area restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 50 restaurants are participating in what has now been extended to run over a 10-day period, Friday, May 1 through Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10.

This inaugural event was originally scheduled to start on Friday, March 27 but was temporarily postponed due to the governor’s “stay-at-home” order and changing information related to the pandemic.

During this campaign, residents can sample specials and other Restaurant Week offers via curbside pickup and/or delivery. To see a complete list of locations that are participating, along with their hours of operation and any special offers, visit palatinerestaurantweek.com.

“Now is absolutely the time to support our local food establishments as they navigate through this uncharted time,” PACC Executive Director Steven Gaus said. “Local restaurants are creating new menus and providing other creative offers in order to engage area residents.”

The PACC has also created the “Palatine Strong” website to help sustain and support all types of businesses during the pandemic. The website launched in late March and residents can easily access information on the status of local businesses, in addition to how to obtain their products and services.
