The Prospect Heights Police Department is introducing a Girls Club program to be held on the third Thursday of every month starting Oct. 17.

The Girls Club will serve as an after-school mentoring program to provide the youth with social, emotional and academic support by building positive relationships between girls, young women and other and positive female role models.

Activities for the after-school program will include crafts, movies, field trips, homework help, participating in educational and informational discussions, along with other activities.

Young women, aged 11-to-17-years-old, are welcome to join and must live in Prospect Heights. There aren’t any program fees.
