Plainfield Elementary School hosted a Chicago Bears Mini Monsters Clinic from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the school, 1850 Plainfield Dr., Des Plaines.

The clinic featured 10 different stations for students that focused on fitness, healthy eating, healthy social emotional techniques and non-contact football drills.

“We appreciate the generosity of the Chicago Bears and their endeavors to educate and enrich wellness practices and healthy habits of mind and heart for our students. Special thanks to our Physical Education teacher, Marc Schellhorn, for liaising with the Chicago Bears and to our faculty and staff for their enthusiastic support and service,” said Principal Lisa Carlos.

The Mini Monsters clinic is sponsored by Advocate Health Care. The free program stresses the importance of healthy eating, physical activity and proper hydration through non-contact football drills.

The 90-minute clinic is free and featured a visit from a former Chicago Bears player.
