Park Ridge Blotter: Several Teens Face Contraband Charges At Maine East, South


The following records are from the files of the Park Ridge Police Dept. The Park Ridge Journal publishes its “Police Blotter” every Wednesday:

Domestic Battery Charged

Monica G. Fisher, 47, of 1123 Fortuna Ave., Park Ridge, was charged with domestic battery at 6:26 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21. She allegedly slapped a 15-year-old boy across the cheek at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.

Retail Theft Charged

Danyell E. Burton, 40, of 4615 N. Clifton Ave., Chicago, was charged with retail theft at 2:27 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21. He was stopped at Mariano’s, 1900 S. Cumberland Ave., after he allegedly tried to leave without paying for liquor valued at a total of $227.24.

Juvenile Contraband Charges

Several juveniles face charges of possessing contraband after being apprehended at the city’s two public high schools. A 14-year-old Norridge boy and a 16-year-old Harwood Heights boy were charged with at Maine South. They were caught at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20. A 15-year-old Niles boy was apprehended at the school on the same charge at 12:34 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21. At Maine East, two 15-year-old Des Plaines boys were charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21. Two more 14-year-old Des Plaines boys were charged with possession of an electronic smoking device at 10:30 a.m. and 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22.

Driving Charges

Francisco E. Espinoza Jr., 29, of 2638 W. Lyndale Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and no proof of insurance at 9:59 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20. He was stopped in the 1800 block of Potter Road.

Brandon R. Reynolds, 28, of 1424 W. Garfield Blvd. #1, Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and no proof of insurance. An officer pulled him over at 12:40 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 in the 600 block of W. Touhy Avenue.

Stolen Vehicle

A trailer containing electronics, food, and a pallet jack was taken from the 1400 block of Renaissance Place between midnight and 7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21.

Burglaries and Thefts

Power tools and a bicycle were taken from an unlocked garage in the 1400 block of Brophy Avenue between midnight and 7 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.

Someone took a bicycle from a basement in the 600 block of N. Northwest Highway between 4 and 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17.

A credit card was taken from an unlocked 2017 Volkswagen in the 1600 block of S. Prospect Avenue. The burglary occurred between 9:51 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19 and 7:51 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20.

A small change purse of cash was taken from an unlocked 2014 Fiat in the 1600 block of S. Washington Avenue between Saturday, Aug. 18 and Monday, Aug. 20.

Cash was taken from an unlocked 2006 Honda inside an unlocked garage in the 1400 block of S. Fairview Avenue between 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 and 4 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23.

A telephone charger was taken from an unlocked 2015 Honda in the 200 block of Higgins Road between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22.

Vandalism Reported

Someone scratched the side of a 2008 BMW in the first block of S. Summit Avenue between 8:16 a.m. and 4:46 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20.
