Park Ridge Blotter: Driver Allegedly Gets Spit On


The following records are from the files of the Park Ridge Police Dept. The Park Ridge Journal publishes its “Police Blotter” every Wednesday:

Battery Charged

Damir Svraka, 27, of 640 Spring Rd., Glenview, was charged with battery at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 13. He was allegedly involved in a road rage incident that began near Potter Road and Dempster Street at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 13. While stopped at the intersection, Svraka allegedly got out of his vehicle and spat on another driver through an open window. He was apprehended by Niles police at Golf Mill Mall.

DUI Charges

Leslie H. George, 53, of 5918 W. Fitch Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, expired registration, and following too closely. An officer stopped her at 4:14 p.m. Thursday, May 10 in the 1400 block of Dempster Street.

Paul Martin, 36, of 2422 Forest Ave., North Riverside, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs at 9:51 p.m. Sunday, May 13. He was pulled over in the 2300 block of W. Touhy Avenue.

Driving Charges

Felicia C. Dudley, 43, of 7501 N. Seeley Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and expired registration at 9:35 a.m. Monday, May 7. She was pulled over in the 1000 block of N. Hamlin Avenue.

Yuilya Kalbyka, 32, of 1103 S. Forums Ct., Wheeling, was charged with no valid driver’s license and operation of a motor vehicle while using a communication device. Police stopped her in the 2600 block of Dempster Street at 8:29 p.m. Monday, May 7.

Burglaries and Thefts

Sunglasses and a purse were taken from an unlocked 2008 BMW in the 1100 block of N. Lincoln Avenue between 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3 and 7:40 a.m. Friday, May 4.

Someone entered a home in the first block of S. Greenwood Avenue between 7:10 and 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 8 and took an unknown amount of cash.

A license plate was taken from a 2013 Ford in the 500 block of N. Hamlin Avenue at an unreleased time between Tuesday, May 8 and Wednesday, May 9.

Animal Charge

Terri L. Shuster, 62, of an unreleased address in Park Ridge, was charged with failure to control an animal at 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 8. She was walking her dog in the 1000 block of N. Clifton Avenue when she approached another woman walking her dog, police said. Shuster’s dog allegedly pulled away from her, ran up to the other dog, bit it on the leg, and knocked the owner to the ground.

Vandalism Reports

An unknown teen threw a rock at a vehicle in the first block of S. Northwest Highway, shattering a window. The incident occurred at 8:42 p.m. Friday, May 4 as the owner was driving out of a parking lot.

Someone shot crossbow bolts through windows of a home under construction in the 400 block of S. Clifton Avenue before 2:32 p.m. Wednesday, May 9.
