Elaine M. Baranowski, 90, died Sept. 1. She received her Bachelor’s degree at age 58 and worked until 75. Survived by her children, Joseph Baranowski, Carol Huffman, James Baranowski, David C. Baranowski, Daniel Baranowski, Paul Baranowski, Anne Auger, and Nancy Lech; 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and her sisters. Preceded in death by her sister, Laverne Mattingly, her former spouse Robert Joseph Baranowski and her parents. Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, handled arrangements.

Lucille M. Battaglia, of Mount Prospect

Lucille M. Battaglia, 92, died Sept. 19. Wife of the late Salvatore A. Battaglia, mother of Robert Battaglia, James Battaglia, and Jeannine Bara, grandmother of two, aunt and friend of many. Friedrichs Funeral Home, Mount Prospect, handled arrangements. Interment at All Saints Cemetery.

Ernest M. Carlsen, of Arlington Heights

Ernest M. Carlsen, 89, of Arlington Heights, died Sept. 16. Father to Susan Nicholas, Gail Tsoflias and Janet Leigh. Grandfather of six and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Meadows Funeral Home, Rolling Meadows, handled arrangements.

Angela L. Cassettari, of Niles

Angela Louise Cassettari, (nee Tomaso), 99, died Sept. 7. Wife of Albert, mother of Diane Scarpelli and the late Louise Paul, grandmother of two, great-grandmother of three, sister and aunt. She was a member of the Golden Agers Club at St. John Brebeuf Church. Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, Niles, handled arrangements. Entombment at St. Joseph Mausoleum.

Patricia Croke, of Glenview

Patricia Croke (nee Edgell), 83, died Sept. 19. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Croke III, four sons and four grandchildren. N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, Glenview, handled arrangements.

Joan Cullen, of Elk Grove Village

Joan Cullen (nee Eustis), died Sept. 18. Wife of Matthew Cullen for 62 years, mother of Linda Reinert, Kathleen Pick, Joseph, Dave, Marie McGrath, Patricia Wiater, Daniel, Peggy, and Kelly, grandmother of 10 and sister. Grove Memorial Chapel, Elk Grove Village, handled arrangements.

Joseph A. Dockendorff, formerly of Arlington Heights

Joseph A. Dockendorff, 76, died Sept. 15. Served the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965, as a chaplain’s assistant in Germany. Was a print salesman in the late 1970s and early ’80s and beyond. Survived by his wife Beverly, his children Mark Dockendorff, Matthew Dockendorff and Carrie Dockendorff, one granddaughter and his siblings. Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, handled arrangements. Interment at St. Peter Cemetery.

Maureen Rose Filetti, formerly of Arlington Heights

Maureen Rose Filetti, 55, of Chicago, died Sept. 19. Mother of Lauren, Erynn and Evan Murphy. Daughter of Joseph and Laverne Filetti, sister and aunt. She grew up in Arlington Heights attending Buffalo Grove High School and Northeastern University in Chicago. Friedrichs Funeral Home, Mount Prospect, handled arrangements. Private interment.

Michael FioRito, of Glenview

Michael FioRito, 69, died Sept. 6. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eve FioRito (nee Kibartis). FioRito is survived by two children, Teresa and Michael. Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, Libertyville, handled arrangements.

Thomas J. Flynn, of Niles

Thomas J. Flynn, retired CFD, Army veteran of Korean War, died Sept. 12. Husband of Anne, father of Thomas, Timothy and Eileen, grandfather of five, brother and uncle. Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, Niles, handled arrangements. Interment at Maryhill Cemetery.

Vernon L. Frost, of Palatine

Vernon L. Frost, 81, died Sept. 14 at home surrounded by his family. Survivors include his daughter, Janet Kaufmann; son, James Frost; two grandchildren and two sisters. Preceded in death by his wife, Carol A. Frost; father, Louis Frost; mother, Mildred (late stepfather William) Weide, and sister, Bernice Dalby. Private inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Palatine. Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Palatine, handled arrangements.

Clifford J. Gerschefske, of Wheeling

Clifford J. Gerschefske died Sept. 17. Born in Des Plaines, grew up in Wheeling and was a barber for over 43 years. Survived by his wife Joyce and by his son Scott. Preceded in death by his parents. Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, handled arrangements. Interment at Acacia Park Cemetery.

Lawrence J. Gignac, of Des Plaines

Lawrence J. Gignac, 74, died Sept. 15. Husband of Gloria, father of Scott Gignac, Michelle Peterson and the late Michael Gignac. Grandfather of two and brother. Private family services were held. Funeral care provided by G.L. Hills Funeral Home, Des Plaines.

Patricia B. Keehan, formerly of Arlington Heights

Patricia B. Keehan, 93, died Sept. 17. Wife of the late William E. Keehan Sr., mother of William E. Keehan Jr.; John B. Keehan, D.D.S., Mark L. Keehan, Rev. Terence M. Keehan and Michael P. Keehan; grandmother of six, great-grandmother of seven, and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Lauterburg-Oehler Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, handled arrangements.

Eileen Kloepper, of Glenview

Eileen Kloepper (nee Jahn), 89, died Sept. 6. She was a member of the Glenview Order #862 of the Eastern Star masonic organization. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Walter Kloepper, and is survived by her nieces and nephews. N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, Glenview, handled arrangements.

Kenneth Edward Law, of Park Ridge

Kenneth Edward Law, 85, died Sept. 15. Worked most of his life for East Maine School Dist. 63. Married Ella, May 25, 1963, celebrating 54 years of marriage. Preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Mary, his brothers, Donald and Edward Law. Survived by his son, Donald J. Law and two grandchildren. Mary Patricia McGinn, of Arlington Heights

Mary Patricia McGinn, 83, died Sept. 15, at her daughter’s home in Aurora. Survived by her children Robert, David, John, Michael and Mary Gannon, her 11 grandchildren and her sister Rosalie Martin. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. McGinn, son Richard G. McGinn; her siblings and by her parents. Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, handled arrangements.

Walter F. Michna, Jr., of Elk Grove Village

Walter F. Michna Jr., 67, died Sept. 20. A CPA, he retired after 38 years of working for The Boler Co. of Itasca. Husband of Veronica J., father of Russell W. Michna and Amanda J. Lundberg, grandfather of one and brother. Grove Memorial Chapel, Elk Grove Village, handled arrangements.

Sol Name, of Arlington Heights

Sol Name, 87, was born in South America. She was dedicated to serving others and was a long time volunteer in the nursery at the YMCA. Survived by her children Magarita Patmore, Mauricio Name, Hernando Name, Martha Name, her eight grandchildren, her sisters and many nieces and nephews. Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, handled arrangements. Interment private.

Shirley A. Ryerson, of Des Plaines

Shirley A. Ryerson (nee Kimmel), 84, died Sept. 17. Wife of the late Dr. Dale R. Ryerson, mother of Dr. Mark, Paul, Glen, and Suzanne Ryerson. Grandmother of five, sister and aunt. Funeral care provided by G.L. Hills Funeral Home, Des Plaines.

Charles Schram, of Glenview

Charles “Chuck” B. Schram, 93, died Sept. 9. Schram was a World War II Army veteran and a supporter of the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. He also worked for Underwriters Laboratories for many years. Schram was preceded in death by Edith Schram (nee Green), his wife of 68 years. He is survived by his twin brother, Peter Schram, two children, two grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Weinstein and Piser Funeral Home, Wilmette, handled arrangements.

Mary C. Stanton, of Glenview

Mary Celeste Stanton (nee Maloney), died Sept. 14. Stanton was preceded in death by her husband, Harold T. Stanton, a retired captain of the Chicago Police Dept., and her son, Michael T. Stanton. She is survived by 10 children, 42 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Donnellan Family Funeral Home, Skokie, handled arrangements.

Robert C. Willeumier, of Park Ridge

Robert C. Willeumier, 78, died Sept. 14. Former husband of the late Barbara Willeumier, father of Dr. Kristen Willeumier. A Marine Corps veteran who served two tours as a combat and helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War; a retired captain with Pan Am Airlines flying 747s; retired Barrington firefighter with 30 years of service; an avid horseman. Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, Park Ridge, handled arrangements. Interment at Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
