Phyllis M. Bochat

of Park Ridge

Phyllis M. Bochat, 88, died on Nov. 19. She was the wife of Wayne Bochat. She is survived by four children and their wives and 10 grandchildren. She was known for her parties, watermelon baskets, and for being a gracious hostess. She was a fervent booster of the Maine South Theatre Department and supported local theatrical productions. Carl E. Bowling

of Arlington Heights

Carl E. Bowling, 93, died on Nov. 11. Preceded in death by his wife, Launa. He is survived by his daughter, Diana Cooper, and two grandchildren. He was born in Princeton, WV and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Bowling was employed as an aviation electronics mechanic for United Airlines at O’Hare Airport and retired after 29 years. Funeral arrangements provided by Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights.

Terrence P. Bryant, 55, died on Nov. 19. He was the husband of Patty, a son-in-law, brother-in-law, friend, cousin and uncle to many. Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, Palatine, handled arrangements.

Krzysztof P. Czerniejewski

of Niles

Krzysztof P. Czerniejewski died on Nov. 14. He grew up in the Chicago area and graduated in 1981 from Maine East High School. He worked most of his life in the Chicago area as a professional mechanic and electrician. He is survived by his sister, nephews, niece, aunt, eight grand-nieces and nephews, and several cousins in the United States and in England. of Niles

Rose Marie R. Estepa, 68, died on Nov. 21. She had a successful career as a registered nurse in numerous countries. She is survived by many friends. River Woods Funeral Chapels, Des Plaines, handled arrangements.

Paul V. Gilke

of Arlington Heights

Paul V. Gilke, 92, formerly of Rolling Meadows and Evergreen Park, died on Nov. 14. A graduate of Lane Tech High School, Class of 1949. He met his late wife, Ruth, at the Paramount Tall Club. He was the father of three, grandfather of nine, and great-grandfather of three.

Shirley M. Goodman

of Arlington Heights

Shirley M. Goodman, 93, died on Nov. 18. She is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and four great-grandchildren. Francesca Maurici, 97, died on Nov. 18. She was born in Burgio, Sicily. She was the wife of the late Vincent, a mother, grandmother of seven, great-grandmother of 10. She was a member of the Burgio Club Society. Funeral arrangements provided by Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, Niles.

Howard C. Michaelsen, Jr.

of Park Ridge

Howard C. Michaelsen, Jr., a once prominent Chicago attorney, died at home on Nov. 19, at the age of 94. He enjoyed fishing, true crime mysteries, football, and a good meal. He was married to Caroline, who preceded him in death in 2007. He is survived by his sons and their wives, and a granddaughter. Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, Park Ridge, handled arrangements.

Dolores Mueller

of Prospect Heights

Dolores Mueller, 93, died Nov. 11. She was a caregiver for her mother, husband and son. She worked as a sales clerk at Goldblatts and as a payroll clerk for an insurance agency, both in Mount Prospect. She is survived by her brother, grandnieces and nephews. Sally Camille Provenzano

of Niles

Sally Camille Provenzano, 86, died on Nov. 14. She grew up in Chicago, moving to Niles in early adulthood where she remained a resident for over 60 years. After retirement, she enjoyed gardening, crafting, and decorating, but her real love was traveling. She will be missed by her brother, Michael, and her nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, Niles, handled arrangements.

Barbara H. Thorstenson, 74, died on Nov. 20.
