Arlene A. Arthur, 89, died on Nov. 20. She was the wife of the late Richard, mother of two, grandmother of four, great-grandmother of six, and a sister. She was born in Des Plaines to the late Paul Schumann and the late Hulda Schumann. Funeral care provided by G.L. Hills Funeral Home.

Robert S. Baldare

of Arlington Heights

Robert S. Baldare, 88, died on Nov. 23. He was born Sept. 5, 1933. Funeral arrangements provided by Oehler Funeral Home, Des Plaines.

Jean R. Brauweiler

of Arlington Heights

Jean R. Brauweiler, 97, died Nov. 18. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. Brauweiler is survived by nine children, 24 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a brother. Preceded in death by his wife, Joan Brauweiler, his infant son, Mark and his parents. Bernadine Bruckman

of Mount Prospect

Bernadine Bruckman, 75, died Nov. 19. She is survived by her husband, James, four children, and a sister. Preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Marie Koziol. Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, handled arrangements.

Arthur Coddington

of Arlington Heights

Arthur Coddington, 94, died on Nov. 12. He was the husband of the late Dorothy, father of two, grandfather of five, great-grandfather of 17, and a brother. Predeceased by his parents Paul and Margaret Coddington, and his brother Richard. He enlisted in the Army Air Force in July 1944 and served as a radio operator and teletype operator during World War II. He received an Army Occupation Medal for his service in Japan. After his military service, he attended television repair school and went on to be the general manager of Kwik Kover Manufacturing in Lincolnwood. William Escudier

of Arlington Heights

William Escudier, 80, died Nov. 19, at his home. Escudier was a sales representative in the optics industry. He is survived by his wife, Mary, a daughter and three sons, six grandchildren, a sister, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Anton and Elizabeth. Donna L. Franczyk

of Mount Prospect

Donna L. Franczyk, 80, died on Nov. 4. She was the wife of the late John, mother of one, grandmother of two and a sister. She worked for the Xerox Corporation for several years before marrying John on June 10, 1967. She raised her family in several places before moving to Arlington Heights in 1977. Franczyk worked for Township High School Dist. 214 and then for the village of Arlington Heights until she retired. She continued living in Arlington Heights until she and her husband moved to Mount Prospect. Funeral arrangements provided by Lauterburg Oehler Funeral Home, Arlington Heights.

Ardith Harris

formerly of Glenview

Ardith Harris, 79, of La Jolla, CA, died on Nov. 19. She was the wife of the late Marvin, mother of three, grandmother of five, sister of the late Susan Nitzkin, cousin, daughter of the late Norman and the late Rose Reisenfeld, and an aunt, and mother-in-law. Goldman Funeral Group, Skokie, handled arrangements.

Alice E. Hunt

of Park Ridge

Alice E. Hunt, 95, died on Nov. 12. Wife of the late Robert, mother of seven, grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of four. She started her career working in the programming department at NBC, in the Merchandise Mart, where she interacted with Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin, Hugh Downs and Mike Wallace, among other industry greats. She and Bob Hunt were married in 1952. One of their children is actor, writer, director and producer Bonnie Hunt. She worked at Wilbur Wright College, in the office of the English department. Later, became a licensed prosthesis fitter for Daniel’s Medical Supply. She dedicated years of service working at Shriners Hospital for Children and performed well into her 80s, weekly on The Bonnie Hunt Show in the “Ask Alice” segments. She also appeared in the MGM film “Return to Me” in a scene with Carroll O’Connor. Funeral arrangements provided by Ryan-Parke Funeral Home in Park Ridge.

Owen V. Keenan

of Glenview

Owen V. Keenan, 98, died on Nov. 17. He was the husband of the late Lottie “Lee” T. Keenan, father of three and the late Kevin Keenan, grandfather of eight. Preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. He was a veteran, enlisting in the Air Force at 18 and building planes throughout World War II. He designed and built his own home in Glenview and started his own company, which he and Lee ran together: Keenan Water and Sewer. The street, “Keenan Lane,” in Glenview remains as a testament to his work. Much of the water and sewer lines in the area and surrounding suburbs were built by him, his brothers, and their children. Noreen M. Nordin

of Rolling Meadows

Noreen M. Nordin, 92, died Nov. 15. Nordin worked as a telephone operator for Illinois Bell for over 10 years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. She loved to collect Teddy Bears and Precious Moments. She is survived by four children, six grandchildren, two great-grandsons, a sister-in-law, niece and nephew, and great-nephew. Preceded in death by her husband, John R. Nordin, Sr., and her parents. Funeral arrangements provided by Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights.

Patricia M. Okon

of Park Ridge

Patricia M. Okon, 73, died on Nov. 14. She was born Feb. 13, 1948. Oehler Funeral Home, Des Plaines, handled arrangements.

of Palatine

John R. Rosi, 69, died on Nov. 14. He was the father of Amber Young, grandfather of two, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Kolssak Funeral Home, Wheeling, handled arrangements.

Daniel W. Rotzoll

former Maine East teacher

Daniel William Rotzoll, 72, died on Nov. 16. For 35 years, he was a P.E. and Driver Education teacher, as well as a football and track & field coach at Maine East High School in Park Ridge. He also worked with his dad at their concrete business for many years. He served in the marriage ministry at Willow Creek Community Church with his wife, Susie, where they mentored engaged couples. He was a father of three, grandfather of seven, and a brother. Preceded in death by his parents, Jeanne and Rudy Macchione. Funeral arrangements provided by Friedrichs Funeral Home, Mount Prospect.

Beverly J. Stedman

of Mount Prospect

Beverly J. Stedman, 83, died on Nov. 19. She was the wife of the late Edward, mother of three, grandmother of eight, and a sister. She worked for many years at Wheeling High School and Arlington Heights Library. She was very active at the Arlington Heights Senior Center. When she had free time, she helped her children and their families, and played games and cards. Lauterburg Oehler Funeral Home, handled arrangements.

Barbara J. Ullrich

of Des Plaines

Barbara J. Ullrich, 88, of Brookdale in Des Plaines and formerly of Chicago, died on Nov. 17. She was the wife of the late Ernest Ullrich, mother of one and the late Wayne Ullrich. She was born in Terre Haute, IN, to the late Morris and the late Goldie Roberts. She loved dogs and other animals. Funeral care provided by G.L. Hills Funeral Home, Des Plaines.
