Multiple Stolen Vehicle Reports Filed In Elk Grove Village


 

The following reports were taken from the files of the Elk Grove Police Dept. The Journal & Topics Newspapers publishes the Elk Grove Police Blotter each week.

 

DUI Charges

 

Piotr Milanowski, 69, of 9205 Sally Ln., Schiller Park, was charged with driving under the influence and disobeying a stop sign. He was taken into custody at 4:10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5 at 605 Clover Hill Ln.

Erik Rozanski, 26, of 8 Ridgewood Rd., Elk Grove Village, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was taken into custody at 1:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3 at 8 E. Higgins Rd.

 

Burglaries & Thefts

 

A 2014 International box truck, valued at $45,000, was reported stolen from a truck rental business in the 400 block of Higgins Road. A review of surveillance showed the theft took place at 2:13 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7.

A 2000 Honda coupe valued at $10,000 was reported stolen from the driveway of a home on Ridgewood Road sometime between 2:38 and 2:42 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6.

A 16-foot, 2011 Maynard flatbed trailer and a John Deere 4X4 vehicle, collectively valued at $20,000, were reported stolen from a business in the 0 to 100 block of Lively Boulevard sometime between 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 and 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8.

An automotive speaker, Bluetooth headphones and Sony headphones, valued collectively at $869, were reported stolen from Walmart, 801 Meacham Rd. Two unknown subjects filled a cart with items from various store departments. At 8:06 p.m. July 25 the two departed the store with the cart and loaded their car before store staff approached them. The two fled in the car. Other property was recovered.
