Domestic Battery Charged

Yves Starling, 43, of 10005 Linda Ln., Des Plaines, was charged with domestic battery at 1:31 a.m. Wednesday, May 15. He allegedly battered another person at Sybaris Suites, 3350 Milwaukee Ave. He was taken into custody in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

Matthew Foley-Meyers, 29, of 1851 Clarence Ave., Berwyn, was charged with domestic battery at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, May 16. He was taken into custody at Motel 6, 1535 Milwaukee Ave. The alleged incident occurred in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue, police said.

Guyiath Cilo, 43, of 195 Waukegan Rd., Glenview, was charged with domestic battery at 1:22 a.m. Friday, May 17. He was taken into custody at his home.

Scam Reported

A resident told police they sent $3,100 in gift cards to someone who called and told them there was a security breach in an Internet account. The incident occurred at 11:02 a.m. Tuesday, April 30.

Reckless Driving Charged

Eileen Lee, 40, of 4278 Central Rd., Glenview, was charged with reckless driving and improper lane usage at 10:09 a.m. Tuesday, May 7. She was taken into custody at her home. The alleged traffic crash occurred at 2:46 p.m. Sunday, April 21 in the 3200 block of E. Lake Avenue.

Damage Charged

William Bourkas, 25, of 7216 W. Talcott Ave., Glenview, was charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 7. He was taken into custody in the 2500 block of E. Lake Avenue after an investigation of an alleged traffic altercation. The incident occurred on Apr. 6 in the 800 block of Harlem Avenue.

Hit-and-Run Charged

Salvador Suarez-Bucio, 29, of 1163 S. Wells St., Lake Geneva, WI, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, no valid driver’s license, no proof of insurance, and driving left of the center lane. He was apprehended at 8:16 p.m. Monday, May 13 in the 2300 block of Waukegan Road.

Arson Reported

Someone set bathroom tissue on fire in a bathroom at Gallery Park, 2699 W. Lake Ave., at 6:07 p.m. Monday, May 13. Firefighters extinguished the flames.

DUI Charges

Mario Paguirigan, 64, of 7751 Lake St., Morton Grove, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, speeding between 26 and 30 mph over the limit, and no seatbelt. He was stopped in the 2700 block of Covert Road at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday, May 15.

Retail Theft Charged

A 75-year-old Wilmette woman was charged with petite theft at an undisclosed store in the 2200 block of Willow Road at 12:14 p.m. Tuesday, May 7. She allegedly tried to leave without paying for a bottle of perfume. Police did not release the woman’s name.

A 40-year-old Norridge woman was charged with petite theft at 6:37 p.m. Wednesday, May 8. She was stopped at an undisclosed store in the 1900 block of Tower Drive after she allegedly tried to leave without paying for children’s clothing valued at a total of $55. Police did not release the woman’s name.

Two Niles girls, aged 15 and 16, were charged with petite theft at an undisclosed store in the 100 block of Waukegan Road at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, May 9. They allegedly tried to leave without paying for health care items valued at $300. They were released to adult relatives.

Retail Theft Reported

Someone took two boxes of allergy medicine from an undisclosed store in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road at 7:51 p.m. Friday, May 3.

An unknown man took five bottles of liquor and paper products from an undisclosed store in the 100 block of Waukegan Road and fled without paying. The theft occurred at 2:43 p.m. Wednesday, May 1.

An unknown woman took over-the-counter medications valued at a total of $80 from an undisclosed store in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road at 8:50 p.m. Friday, May 10.

Driving Charges

Anthony Isidoro, 29, of 4805 Throop St., Chicago, was charged with no valid driver’s license, no proof of insurance, and disobeying a traffic control device. He was stopped at 10:35 p.m. Saturday, May 4 in the 1500 block of E. Lake Avenue.

Mohammad B. Hassan, 29, of 63 St. Mary Pt., Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and no rear registration plate light. He was pulled over in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road at 3:02 a.m. Sunday, May 5.

Deshon Fluckes, 23, of 822 N. Lawndale Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and speeding. An officer stopped him at 1:44 a.m. Monday, May 6 in the 9700 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

Burglaries

and Thefts

A window was broken and a wallet and cellular telephone were taken from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Willow Road between 5:40 and 6:59 p.m. Tuesday, April 30.

Someone broke a window and took a purse containing cash from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Willow Road between 4:15 and 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 30.

A window was broken and a laptop computer was taken from a vehicle in the 1800 block of Wagner Road between 6:30 and 6:31 p.m. Wednesday, May 1.

A wallet was taken from a vehicle in the 2600 block of W. Lake Avenue before 3:29 p.m. Saturday, May 4.

A window was broken and a wallet, cellular telephone, cash, and keys were taken from a vehicle in the 2600 block of W. Lake Avenue. The burglary occurred between 3:40 and 5:08 p.m. Sunday, May 5.

Shoes were taken from a home in the 100 block of Waukegan Road before 7:17 p.m. Sunday, May 5.

A box left on a porch in the 2100 block of Swainwood Drive was taken before 11 a.m. Monday, May 6.

Someone took a wallet and telephone from the jacket pocket of a man at 11:09 a.m. Wednesday, May 8. The theft occurred at an undisclosed store in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road.

Mail was taken from a mailbox in the 4100 block of Crestwood Drive before 10:48 a.m. Wednesday, May 8.

A box of jewelry valued at a total of $8,000 was taken from a home in the 2600 block of Chestnut Avenue before 2:13 p.m. Thursday, May 9.

Two chainsaws were taken from a trailer between 3:21 and 3:31 p.m. Thursday, May 9. The burglary occurred in the 3000 block of Springdale Avenue.

Jewelry valued at more than $3,000 was taken from a home in the 1600 block of Ridgewood Lane before 8:35 p.m. Thursday, May 9.

Someone tried to enter a home in the 3700 block of Miller Drive at 3:54 p.m. Monday, May 13 while the homeowner was inside the house. Entry was not gained but damage was estimated at $1,000.

Items valued at a total of $200 were taken from a home in the 2500 block of Bel Air Drive between 8:10 a.m. and 9:35 p.m. Monday, May 13.

Vandalism Reports

Someone spray-painted graffiti in a washroom and on a bench in the 900 block of Shermer Road between 2 p.m. Monday, April 29 and 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 30.
