East Leyden Students Honored As ‘Exceptional Eagles’


East Leyden High School students were honored at the Exceptional Eagle Breakfast held Nov. 30 at the school, 3400 Rose St., Franklin Park.

This monthly breakfast is held to recognize students for their extraordinary effort, special achievements, and academic excellence in a specific department. Parents and nominating teachers also are invited to attend.

Students and the departments they represent are: Corey Delaney, art; Kate Cadag, Bilingual/ELL; Izabela Kowalik, business education; Priscila Sanchez-Ceballos, English; Christina Colon, family and consumer sciences; Jeshley Granados-Hernandez, individual achievement; Svetoslav Zografski, industrial technology; Darla Majka, literacy; Jasia Gosanko, mathematics; Mattia Esposito, modern languages; Clarissa Messina, modern languages; Daniel Gutierrez, music; Adrianna Trela, physical education; Michele Robles, science; Kinga Nowaczyk, social studies; Jason Contreras, TAPESTRY; and Faustyna Karpiesiuk, ACCESS.
