Downtown Palatine Businesses Remain Resilient


Mother’s Day is just around the corner and Downtown Palatine Business Association (DPBA) members are offering ways to make moms feel special, despite the extension of the governor’s “stay-at-home” order.

Shoppers can purchase items and take classes online, attend virtual events and more.

Cook, Cork & Fork each Friday hosts a virtual happy hour, and for wine lovers, curbside pickup or delivery of cases of wine (within 10 miles of the store), in addition to delivery of cooking or baking supplies.

Retail hairstyling and hair cleaning products can be picked up curbside at Brush Salon.

Curbside pickup or delivery of menu items is offered by Durty Nellie’s, Tap House Grill and JL’s Pizza and Sports Bar.

Shoppe the Mill is offering online sales of home décor and locally made furniture (delivered within 10 miles of the store).

Just Peachy Photography is selling digital products online, including watercolor photo art and quarantine photo collages.

Mother’s Day gift certificates are available from eyebrWOW for eyebrow microblading services.

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute continues to consult with post-op patients relating to physical therapy services.

Online dance classes and summer camps are offered by The Dance Loft.

The Music Room is providing online instruction for children and adults via Zoom for a variety of instruments, as well as voice lessons.

Pan American Bank & Trust continues to offer drive-up, online banking and other financial services through its website.

Brandt Financial Concepts, Inc. and Tony Gambino Allstate Agent both offer financial benefits and services, including insurance for individuals and businesses.

The annual “Girls on the Town” event sponsored by the DPBA, normally held at the end of April or start of May, will be rescheduled as soon as possible based on developments relating to the governor’s order. The DPBA is looking for feedback from the community on preferred reschedule dates.
