Prospect High School’s marching band, the Prospect Marching Knights, took first at the Chicagoland Marching Band Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21. Due to inclement weather, the competition for Class 3A (indoor) bands was moved indoors and the band provided a static performance of their field show “Finding Balance.” Marching Knights won first place in Class 3A and were awarded captions for Outstanding Music, General Effect and Drum Majors. Prospect’s next competition is “Red and Black Fall Classic” on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
