Des Plaines Man Dies Of Complications Months After Accident


A 54-year-old Des Plaines man died March 11 after being struck by a vehicle in Park City seven months ago.

According to autopsy reports from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, Quanellis Stinnette’s cause of death was accidental and caused by “complications of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.”

The Park City Police Dept. said Stinnette was struck Aug. 11 near the border of Park City and Waukegan while walking on Route 120, also known as Belvedere Road in the Park City/Waukegan area, near where it meets Route 41.

Following the accident, Stinnette was transported to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. At the time of his death, he was a resident of a rehabilitation facility at 9300 W. Ballard Rd., Des Plaines.

He was pronounced dead at approximately 8:42 a.m. March 11 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
