Arlington Heights Police Investigate Attempted Luring Incident

Arlington Heights police are investigating an unknown male subject who they say attempted to lure a female high school freshman to his car by offering her money in exchange for a sexual act.

The female was walking around the Dryden Elementary School neighborhood selling fundraising items when the man, approximately 20-years-old, drove up to the victim in a red, four-door car and attempted to lure her to the vehicle at approximately 3:50 p.m. Aug. 17.

He subsequently drove away after the attempted luring. Arlington Heights police released a sketch of the man and a photo of the car similar to the one he was driving.
