Arlington Heights Fire Department Offering CPR Class


Easier CPR technique can help anyone save a life

The Arlington Heights Fire Department is offering a Heartsaver CPR class on Monday, March 2.

The Heartsaver CPR class offers recognition and emergency resuscitation techniques for adult heart attack and stroke; injury and cardiac arrest prevention; treatment of cardiac emergencies in adults and infants.

The class is scheduled from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Arlington Heights Fire Department Administration Building, 1150 N. Arlington Heights Rd., in the training room on the second floor.

The class size is limited to 18 students who must be at least 16-years-old. All class instructors are certified through the American Heart Association.

The fee includes a textbook and CPR card. Due to the scheduling of personnel and classroom, registration fees are non-refundable. In the event a class is canceled due to low enrollment, refunds will be provided.

Those who successfully complete the class objectives and practical testing will receive a course completion card from the American Heart Association.

If interested in attending, fill out the CPR registration form available on the village’s website and drop off the form and check to the Arlington Heights Fire Department. The course does not cover cardiac emergencies in children or choking in adults, children and infants.
