Arlington Heights Citizens Police Academy Begins March 3

Arlington Heights residents can experience what it may be like to serve as a police officer by enrolling in the Arlington Heights Police Department (AHPD) Citizens Academy beginning Tuesday, March 3.

Classes meet on Tuesdays from 6:45 to 10 p.m. from March 3 until May 12. Those who participate will be able to receive hands-on experience in police forensics, traffic stops, K-9 demos and other responsibilities police officers have throughout the 11-week class. Those who complete the program can choose to go on a ride-along with an on-duty AHPD officer.

Those who are 21-years-old and over are able to apply for enrollment. Spaces are limited. Download the application from the village’s website and send it to officer Carrie Regilio at cregilio@vah.com to inquire if spots are available.
