Police Cracking Down For St. Pat's Day

The Palatine Police Dept. is continuing its efforts to keep drivers and passengers safe through aggressive traffic enforcement measures.

With the assistance of grant funding provided by the Illinois Dept. of Transportation (IDOT), police are participating in the St. Patrick's Holiday Traffic Safety Crackdown.

Through Sunday, Mar. 21, police will be saturating the roadways with officers focusing on impaired drivers, occupant protection, and speeding. Palatine police officers will be hitting the streets looking for those individuals who choose to drive impaired, drive recklessly, and fail to wear safety belts.

In addition, the Palatine Police Dept. will be conducting a Roadside Safety Check tomorrow (Friday).  The Roadside Safety Check will be conducted in the area of Algonquin and Roselle roads, starting in the late evening and going through the early morning hours.
