Sake Chicken To Open In Arlington Hts.
It might say BBQ, but at a new Korean restaurant in Arlington Hts. that doesn't necessarily mean barbeque. The acronym stands for "Best of Best Quality."
The restaurant, Sake BBQ Chicken, should be open by mid-February, owners told the Arlington Hts. Village Board.
It will be located at 932 W. Algonquin Rd. in the Surrey Ridge Shopping Center.
The restaurant will serve Korean and Japanese food. BBQ Chicken is a popular chain in Korea but has only recently begun popping up in the United States.
"It's certainly good news to get another restaurant in our community to add to our 200 restaurants," said John Melaniphy, business and development coordinator for the village. "Given the current economic environment it's great to see another new business opening."
Melaniphy said the restaurant would be 1,680 sq. ft. with room for a small dining area.
The village board awarded the restaurant a class E liquor license, allowing alcohol to be served.
