Italian Restaurant Open For Business

A new gourmet Italian restaurant has opened in Rolling Meadows, serving up authentic dishes to diners.

Giuseppe Ristorante opened on Jan. 13 at 3200 Kirchoff Rd., the former Pasta Kitchen, in Rolling Meadows Shopping Center next to Jewel food store. Executive Chef and co-owner, Giacomo Parisi, has worked as a chef at Bellamy's and owned Parisi's Ristorante, both in Rockford, and later opened Sapore Trattoria in Lake Zurich.

The restaurant is small, only 10 tables and 40 seats, Parisi explained.

"It's very small, very charming; cozy," he said. He and his partner were looking to open a small place in the area, he explained. "We can give the most attention as possible to the people."

All the food is made from scratch, he said, from the salad dressings to the desserts.

Although the restaurant is already open, he has invited Mayor Ken Nelson for an official grand opening tentatively planned for the second week of February.
