Village To Honor Community Award Winners Feb. 12
The Village of Arlington Hts. Special Events Commission has announced the winners of the 2010 Hearts of Gold awards.
The program recognizes individuals who work or live in Arlington Hts. and enrich the quality of life in the community through generous contributions and acts of kindness. One of the program's goals is to acknowledge individuals who typically do not receive community-wide recognition for their efforts.
The winners will be honored at the Hearts of Gold Awards Dinner at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12 at the European Crystal Banquet and Conference Center, 519 W. Algonquin Rd.
The winners are:

Best Neighbor Heart of Gold — Mike and Marybeth Schoenwald
Educator Heart of Gold —Cathie Windheim Schwarz
"Young at Heart" Heart of Gold —Marilyn Breiding
Heroic Heart of Gold —William Reinhard
Young Champion Heart of Gold —Kaileen McGourty
Volunteer Heart of Gold — Nancy and Pat Moroney
"City of Good Neighbors" Heart of Gold —Escorted Transportation Service, northwest
Business Leader Heart of Gold — Amy Philpott (Tuscan Market)
Kenneth M. Bonder Beautification Heart of Gold — Christopher Gluth
