Wheeling To Discuss Cell Phone Tower
A proposed cellular telephone tower in Wheeling will be discussed at the village's next Plan Commission meeting on Dec. 10.
The 150-foot tower with a 10 by 20 foot equipment shelter, is proposed for 210 McHenry Rd.
"The property that it's going on is farmland," explained Mark Janeck, director of community development. He added there is also a business on the parcel, an apartment complex directly adjacent to the land, and a village water tower a little farther south.
If the Plan Commission approves the idea, the village board will discuss it in January, putting construction off until the spring, Janeck said.
SAC Wireless, an agent for AT&T, submitted the proposal.
