Watch Out For Trick-Or-Treaters, Football Fans

Rolling Meadows will temporarily prohibit parking in certain residential areas to try to regulate traffic and keep children safe when a playoff football game coincides with Halloween trick-or-treating.

The Rolling Meadows High School football team hosts Lake Zurich High School in a playoff game at 7 p.m. on Oct. 31. Trick-or-treat hours in the city are set for 3 to 8 p.m.

As police expect heavy traffic for the game, they will regulate parking in the nearby areas. Officers will also be assigned to the area before, during, and after the game to help with vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Parking is banned on Central Road, Linden Lane, Cedar Street, Maple Lane, Oak Street, Birch Lane, Willow Lane, Jay Lane, and Fulle Street. Police will erect temporary No Parking signs in those areas.

Parking for the game will be available at the school, 2901 Central Rd.; at Park Central, 3000 Central Rd.; and at Conyers Learning Academy, 2800 Central Rd. Overflow parking will also be available at Willow Bend School, 4700 Barker Ave., and Central Road School, 3800 Central Rd.
