Hometown Award Winners Named
For the past 16 years, the Village of Palatine has recognized the efforts of individuals, businesses, and organizations that have beautified their surroundings for all citizens.
Twenty-six nominations for Hometown Pride awards were received this year. Judges for the contest are members of the Beautification Commission. Each judge reviewed each photo entry, and the following results were:
Single Family
* First place- Emily Duncan, 824 W. Dorset Ave.
* Second place- Joan Thomas, 721 N. Bon Aire Dr.
* Third place- Rich and Denise Green, 1013 W. Elm
Multi Family
* First place- Valissa Hilligoss and Mary Winch, 108 W. Wood St.
* Second place, Mark Marubio, 1205 N. Williams Dr.
* Third place- Rich and Denise Green, 1013 W. Elm.
Subdivision/Cul-de-sac
* First place- Bridgeview West
Business
* First place- Palatine Inn, 95 W. Northwest Hwy.
Doors of Palatine
* First place- Jim and Judy Dunne, 1117 E. Carpenter Dr.
* Second place- Mary Unsen, 1351 E. Michele Dr.
