Man Flees Attempted Sexual Assault In BG
Buffalo Grove police remain on the look out for an individual who reportedly tried to sexually assault a woman on Saturday, May 3.
According to police, at around 5 a.m., the woman claimed that an unknown individual driving a silver four door Audi stopped her vehicle on Thompson Blvd., near Arlington Heights Road, and identified himself as an undercover police officer.
Police said the woman was handcuffed by the unidentified offender and was placed in his car. While attempting to drive off, the woman was able to escape. The unidentified man chased the woman and tackled her to the ground.
The woman did not suffer any injuries, police said.
The individual is described as a mid to late 20's Caucasian male, approximately 5'10", 180 to 190 pounds, with short brown spiked hair. At this time, the incident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident should contact the police department.
Police said it is not common practice for the Buffalo Grove Police Dept. to use unmarked vehicles to conduct traffic stops.
