Wheeling High School will celebrate its "ethnic diversity" with an ( all-school event on Friday, May 9, marking the school's 14th annual Display of Cultures.

Throughout the day, students and staff will be treated to( exhibits providing information, a fashion show, and music and( dance of the countries that make up Wheeling's student body which include: America, Africa, Austria, Argentina, Bahamas, Belarus, Bulgaria, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Puerto Rico, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Spain,( and Sudan (Darfur Region). Approximately 25 different cultures will be represented this year.

An admission fee will be required for anyone other than Wheeling High( School's staff and students during the day.

Funds raised will be applied towards scholarships for seniors who( have participated in any of the school's multicultural clubs. SHADES, the Wheeling multicultural club which sponsors the event, "hopes" to award ( scholarships again this year from the Display of Cultures' proceeds.
