Buffalo Grove Field Going To The Dogs?

A park for pooches?

Buffalo Grove Park District board members are considering a proposed dog park that would be located south of the Metra train station on Deerfield Pkwy.

According to Mike Terson, public relations, the proposed property is owned by ComEd. For a park to be created, he said the park district would have to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the village.

The property spans approxiamtely two acres and would operate from sunrise to sunset, like all other parks within the village. A fence would surround the park so the dogs would not be required to wear a leash.

Currently, the proposed site is an empty field. Terson said if the park is approved in upcoming months, construction would begin this fall.
