Woolf Scores 13 Points In Leyden Win
Despite a disappointing sub-.500-level season, Leyden got one piece of good news this week in boys basketball.
Michael Woolf is the Northwest suburbs' leading scorer so far with an 18.7 points-per-game average for 16 games. He also leads the area with 44 three-pointers.
Woolf scored 13 as the Eagles (8-10, 4-4 in the West Suburban Gold conference) defeated Hinsdale South, 40-39, last Friday. Woolf also scored in double digits in a 67-56 Eagle loss to Morton the next night.
Eagle Brandon Stinson ranks in the area's top-25 in scoring with a 10.3 points-per-game average.
