Penguins Dominating Senior Division Foes

The Des Plaines Penguins continued to roll through the senior softball division this week with wins of 18-2 and 23-7.

Zoe Zunnurain's grand slam and 6 RBI and Jade Cerrone's first career home run paced the Penguins in their 18-2 blowout of he Dr. Banks Live Wires.

Paige Christoffel and Kalei Roby added two hits while Niki Vanyai tripled and Stephany Meza, Kayla Kramer, Abbi Donovan, Nikki Lipka and Kara Barnes also added big hits for the Penguins.

The team earned another huge win with a 23-7 victory over Dr Barrys Mighty Molars. The Penguins scored in every inning and had great pitching performances by Jade Cerrone, Abbi Donovan and Nikki Vanyai.

Kalei Roby went a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate and drove in five runs to lead the offense. Shannon Sullivan also reached base five times, Zoe Zunnurain added 3 more RBI and Stephany Meza, Paige Christoffel and Nikki Lipka earned key hits, as the Penguins remained undefeated on the season.
