Bats Carry Waycinden

The Waycinden Warriors 13-year-old travel baseball team earned another win Friday, improving their record to 8-1.

The Warriors knocked off the Elk Grove Travelers in 10 innings Friday, 10-7.

Jake LoGiudice started for Waycinden and allowed just one run in the first four innings, using an assortment of pitches to keep the Travelers guessing. He also helped his own cause by going 2-for-4 at the plate, including a big single and double late in the game. Shane Joyce pitched solid the next four innings while Alex Tinkoff and Ryan White also threw an inning each.

The bats came through once again with Tinkoff, John Burkiewicz, Luc Dimaso and Danny Larson keying the victory.
