Arlington Post 208 is off to another good start in Legion baseball in 2009. Post 208 was 8-2 this week and owned the best record among the four Journal-area Legion baseball teams. This record does not include Arlington's participation in the Champaign tournament this past weekend, June 26-28.

Piglet Power!

Carl Ostenson's girls softball teams seem to be among the most creative around. For the last few years, he led the Des Plaines Grapes as coach. The energetic bunch of high school aged teens named their team the Grapes in honor of their bright purple jerseys. But this year there was a problem. Purple jerseys weren't available.
