    Hotel Outlook Brightens

    While many of Chicagoland's hotels have seen a significant drop in business, Rosemont's hotels are doing well and growing with new development.

    Students from Rosemont Elementary School visited Springfield last month. The students saw numerous landmarks during the one-day trip including state the capital building (above) where they stopped for a group picture.

    Rosemont Approves River, Higgins Plan

    Rosemont Village Board members last week granted final approval of a large hotel and restaurant development at River and Higgins roads.

    Sixth Graders Journey Downstate

    A total of 30 sixth grade students from Rosemont Elementary School learned what Abraham Lincoln meant when he said "Four Score and Seven Years Ago," when they traveled down to Springfield for the school's annual trip on Friday, Apr. 18.

    The Rosemont Village Board Wednesday awarded a contract for $29,750 to install new flooring in the main entryway of East Leyden High School as part of the school's new Wall of Fame installation.

    Village, County Settle Up Over Amusement Taxes Owed

    The Village of Rosemont paid $4,276,000 to Cook County last Friday, May 9 as part of a settlement for back taxes dating from 1997 to 2005.
