LifeSource Move To Rosemont Done Deal
The Institute for Transfution Medicine (ITM), parent company of LifeSource blood center, has finalized the purchase of its new corporate offices at 9800 Bryn Mawr Avenue in Rosemont.
LifeSource offices on Milwaukee Avenue in Glenview and downtown Chicago will be consolidated and brought to Rosemont. The Glenview office contains a blood donation center that is LifeSource's highest producing center.
An ITM official said the donation center would remain open during the move and another location for a donation center in Glenview would be sought after the Milwaukee Avenue location is closed.
ITM officials said reasons for the move to Rosemont had to do with easier access to public transportation for employees, easier access to highways and vicinity to O'Hare Airport.
"Rosemont community leaders have been strongly supportive of the organization during our search," said ITM Vice President Diane Merkt who is overseeing the relocation.
