Parking Spots Will Be Added To Complex

A total of 29 new parking spaces will be added to a seven building apartment complex in Rosemont with work likely beginning this week.

Village board members on Oct. 7 approved two separate proposals to perform the work that will benefit village employees and senior citizens who live in the apartment complex located south of Higgins Road west of Scott Street.

One of the projects calls for construction of nine additional parking spaces on the west side of Kirschoff Street north of Devon Avenue at a cost of $67,704.70. The second project calls for an additional 20 parking spaces north of Devon Avenue between two apartment buildings at a cost of $74,089.75. Orange Crush LLC will perform the work.

According to project manager Mark Wrzeszcz, the work has been delayed due to inclement weather. He hopes construction will finally begin this week.
