DRUG

CHARGES

Billy J. Vargas, 24, of 10433 E. Medico St., Northlake, and Brandon M. Friedman, 23, of 10483 Touhy Ave., Rosemont, were charged with possession of cannabis at 3:56 p.m. June 28. Friedman was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police stopped them on Touhy Avenue near Lee Street while investigating suspicious subjects. Officers allegedly recovered a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana, two remnants of suspected marijuana cigarettes, and a small pipe from their vehicle.

DUI

CHARGE

Kristin G. Kroll, 36, of 2508 W. Ainslie St., Chicago, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended driver's license, and improper lane usage. Police stopped her in the 10100 block of Higgins Road at 4:25 a.m. June 24 for allegedly weaving between lanes. She allegedly failed field sobriety tests and later refused a breath test.

DRIVING

CHARGE

Manuel De La Rosa, 36, of 10490 Carol Court Unit GW, Rosemont, was charged with no valid driver's license and no rear registration light. Police pulled him over at Rosemont Avenue and Scott Street at 9:19 p.m. June 24.

WALLET

SWIPED

A 68-year-old Park Ridge woman reported the theft of her wallet while she shopped at Target, 7000 N. Mannheim Rd. Sometime after 3:30 p.m. on June 25, someone took the wallet containing her driver's license, credit cards, blank checks, and $115 cash from her purse. Within an hour, one of her credit cards was used at a Target in Norridge to purchase gift cards and clothing. Officers recovered video surveillance footage of the transaction from that store.

WINDOW

BROKEN

Someone broke a window on a silver 2000 Chrysler Town & Country in the 6600 block of North Mannheim Road. The damage occurred between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. June 28.
