Tree Fertilization Pricetag: $16,736
Rosemont Village Board members last week agreed to spend $16,736 to hire a company to fertilize trees and shrubs at the village's nine parks including Waterfall Park at River and Higgins roads.
A proposal from Bartlett Tree Experts was accepted by village trustees at their regular monthly meeting in Village Hall. Rosemont annually seeks price quotes from interested compa nies to provide the service.
Trees and shrubs located on village and park property within Rosemont will be fertilized four times during 2008. The program is primarily aimed at killing mites that could harm the many locust and other trees in the vil lage.
