Police Blotter
The following records are from the files of the Park Ridge Police Dept. The Park Ridge Journal publishes its "Police Blotter" every Wednesday:
BATTERY CHARGED
An 18-year-old Mt. Prospect man was charged with battery, obstructing a police officer, and resisting a police officer at 9:20 p.m. June 28. He was taken into custody at Touhy and Washington avenues after an incident with a conductor on a Metra train.
GARAGE ENTERED
A man in the 200 block of North Home Avenue told police he left his garage service door open while he went inside his residence at 7 p.m. June 19. When he returned, he found a man in his 30s inside the garage. The victim said he was going to call police and the man ran from the garage, got into a waiting red pickup truck, and fled.
TRESPASS CHARGED
Alexander R. Sainz-Bertei, 22, of 1336 N. Northwest Highway, Park Ridge, was charged with criminal trespass to property at 6:46 a.m. June 28. He was taken into custody in the 1300 block of North Northwest Highway.
CURFEW VIOLATIONS
A 15-year-old Park Ridge boy and a 16-year-old Chicago boy were charged with curfew violation at 2:48 a.m. June 28. They were apprehended during a traffic stop at Greenwood and Bonita avenues after they nearly rear-ended a squad car.
ALCOHOL CHARGE
James M. Pastore, 20, of the 800 block of South Lincoln Avenue in Park Ridge, was charged with operation of a motor vehicle with an amount of alcohol in his system under zero tolerance. He was stopped in the 200 block of East Albion Avenue at 4:44 a.m. June 28.
DRIVING CHARGES
An 18-year-old Des Plaines man was charged with no valid driver's license and speeding at 7:35 p.m. June 22. He was stopped in the 700 block of North Northwest Highway.
Andrzej S. Walkosz, 27, of the 100 block of Classic Street in Schaumburg, was charged with driving with a revoked driver's license, no proof of insurance, failure to signal, and no seatbelt. Police pulled him over in the 1900 block of South Cumberland Avenue at 8:22 p.m. June 22.
Corey A. Castillo, 31, of the 6900 block of West 97th Street in Oak Lawn, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, no proof of insurance, and speeding. An officer pulled her over at 10:10 a.m. June 24 in the 500 block of Devon Avenue.
Moises C. Ramos, 21, of the 1700 block of West Chariot Drive in Mt. Prospect, was charged with no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance, and no rear registration plate light at 12:06 a.m. June 25. Police pulled him over in the 200 block of West Touhy Avenue.
Alberto E. Heller, 22, of the 4500 block of North Elston Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and suspended registration. He was stopped at Northwest Highway and Meacham Avenue at 8:14 p.m. June 28. He was also served an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended driver's license.
BURGLARIES AND THEFTS
All the lug nuts were taken from a 2009 Lincoln Town Car in the 800 block of Touhy Avenue between 9 p.m. June 24 and 8 a.m. June 25. One tire was removed and a jack left in its place, but nothing appeared to have been taken from the vehicle.
A weed whacker, a snow blower, and a lawnmower were taken from a garage in the 1000 block of Granville Avenue at 5 a.m. June 21. The victim saw a man carrying the weed whacker and flee in an older black station wagon.
A window was broken and a viola and bows were taken from a 1998 Toyota Sienna in the 1300 block of South Grove Avenue between 1 p.m. June 19 and 11 a.m. June 21.
Someone cut a window screen to enter a home in the 1800 block of West Weeg Way between 12:15 and 4:15 a.m. June 19. They took a laptop computer and a personal digital assistant from the house.
