LGH Chief Steps Down After 5 Months

Stark

After fewer than five months on the job, David Stark resigned as president of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

Stark replaced Bruce Campbell, who served as president for 16 years, on Feb. 2. However, Stark, who was previously executive vice-president of Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, has decided to return to that city for family reasons. He will become the president of Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, according to a memo from Bill Santulli, executive vice-president of Advocate. Stark's resignation is effective on Aug. 14.

The hospital is already searching for Stark's replacement but did not have an estimate for how long that could take.
