Police Blotter

The following records are from the files of the Park Ridge Police Dept. The Park Ridge Journal publishes its "Police Blotter" every Wednesday:

BATTERY CHARGED

Joseph Schneider, 26, of the 4300 block of Ponca Street, Jonathan Descher, 28, of the 600 block of Wimbleton Trail, and Jeremy J. Descher, 29, of the 4300 block of Shamrock Lane, all of McHenry, were charged with battery. Police took them into custody at 8:06 p.m. June 17 at the Dee Road Metra Station after an alleged incident on a train.

A 15-year-old Niles boy was charged with assault and battery at 11:05 a.m. June 17. He was taken into custody in the 1100 block of South Dee Road.

TRESPASS REPORTED

An unknown woman entered a home in the 2500 block of West Sibley Street at 11:42 a.m. June 15. When the homeowner confronted her, she said she was looking for a "Mrs. Johnson." The victim backed out of the door where she found another woman standing outside the house. Both women fled the scene on foot.

RESISTING CHARGED

Agustino Ruiz, 46, of the 4800 block of North Central Park Avenue in Chicago, was charged with resisting police, driving with a suspended driver's license, no proof of insurance, improper lane usage, and expired registration. He was pulled over at Higgins Road and Fairview Avenue at 4:31 p.m. June 17.

FALSE ALARM

A 15-year-old Park Ridge girl was charged with disorderly conduct at 9:07 p.m. June 15. She allegedly pulled a fire alarm at the Park Ridge Youth Campus in the 700 block of North Prospect Avenue.

DRUG CHARGES

Dawid Zygmunt, 19, of the 7100 block of Carol Court in Niles, was charged with possession of cannabis and an 18-year-old Arlington Heights man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police took them into custody at 2:43 a.m. June 16 in the 1400 block of West Peterson Street.

ALCOHOL CHARGE

Luis A. Zavala, 28, of the 7700 block of West Myrtle Avenue in Chicago, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, driving with a suspended driver's license, no proof of insurance, and improper lane usage. He was stopped at 7:32 p.m. June 20 at Talcott Road and Crescent Avenue.

GAS THEFT REPORTED

A man pumped gasoline valued at $61 at a station in the 1100 block of West Touhy Avenue at 2:35 a.m. June 13 and fled without paying.

DRIVING CHARGES

Andrzej Bajorek, 53, of the 3000 block of North Lotus Avenue in Chicago, was charged with no valid driver's license, expired registration, and no rear registration plate light. Police stopped him at Potter Road and Mayfield Avenue at 1:09 a.m. June 15.

Laura A. Schubring, 25, of the 500 block of East Miner Street in Arlington Heights, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and no proof of insurance. She was stopped at Ballard and Potter roads at 3:51 a.m. June 15.

Josue Colin-Esquivel, 19, of the 3300 block of West Pensacola Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, improper lane usage, and no seatbelt. Officers pulled him over at Main Street and Prospect Avenue at 3:15 p.m. June 16.

Mark T. Duntemann, 50, of the 1100 block of Ontario St. in Oak Park, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and no seatbelt. An officer stopped him at 3:29 p.m. June 16 at Cumberland and Garden avenues.

BURGLARIES AND THEFTS

Someone took an mp3 player, a global positioning system, and a cellular telephone headset from two cars in an unlocked garage. The burglary occurred between 2:30 and 11:30 a.m. June 16 in the 100 block of West Gillick Street.

Someone broke into a 1998 Dodge Durango and took the stereo and a t-shirt. The burglary occurred between 8:30 p.m. June 13 and 8:15 a.m. June 14 in the 1800 block of South Crescent Avenue.

The stereo was taken from a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck in the 1800 block of South Crescent Avenue between 8:30 p.m. June 13 and 8:15 a.m. June 14.

A wallet containing a driver's license, credit cards, and other identification was taken from a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta in the 1700 block of South Fairfield Avenue between 8 p.m. June 11 and 8 a.m. June 12.

A global positioning system and a cable were taken from a 2002 Honda Civic in an unlocked garage in the 100 block of Imperial Avenue. The burglary occurred between 7 p.m. June 15 and 9 a.m. June 16.

Someone took a global positioning system from a 2007 Toyota Corolla in the 500 block of North Western Avenue between 6 p.m. June 15 and 6 a.m. June 16.

A clarinet and case were taken from a schoolroom in the 300 block of North Hamlin Avenue between 8:40 and 9:30 a.m. June 12.

WARRANT APPREHENSION

Fred R. Mahony, 67, of the 8100 block of South Talbott Avenue in Indianapolis, Ind., was served an outstanding warrant from DuPage County for driving while allegedly under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody in the 200 block of South Vine Street.

VANDALISM REPORTS

Someone scratched the paint on a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria in the first block of South Prospect Avenue between 4 and 6 p.m. June 11.

Graffiti was drawn on a 2003 Ford van in the 1200 block of North Terrace Avenue before 8:19 a.m. June 14.
