Police Blotter

The following records are from the files of the Park Ridge Police Dept. The Park Ridge Journal publishes its "Police Blotter" every Wednesday:

DUI CHARGES

Leo J. Beitz, 20, of the 1300 block of Bonita Drive in Park Ridge, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol at 2:15 a.m. June 12. Police stopped him at Greenwood and Belle Plaine avenues.

You J. Jung, 38, of the 4100 block of Cove Drive in Glenview, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and failure to yield right of way at an intersection. Police stopped him at Greenwood Avenue and Ballard Road at 3:18 a.m. June 13.

ALCOHOL CHARGES

A 15-year-old Park Ridge girl was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor at 9:15 p.m. June 11. She was cited in the 200 block of Thames Parkway.

RETAIL THEFT CHARGED

Hassan N. Malas, 44, of the 6000 block of Scott Street in Rosemont, was charged with retail theft at 8:52 p.m. June 12. He was taken into custody at a store in the 1900 block of South Cumberland Avenue.

DRIVING CHARGES

Derrick L. Clinkscales, 31, of the 5400 block of West Washington Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, no proof of insurance, and failure to yield right of way. He was taken into custody at Carol Street and Crain Avenue at 4:06 p.m. June 8

Sheila A. Miller, 34, of the 1700 block of Webster Lane in Des Plaines, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and obstructed rear registration plate. An officer stopped her in the 2800 block of West Dempster Street at 12:41 a.m. June 9.

Julie A. Strunck, 49, of the 500 block of Park Plaine Avenue in Park Ridge, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, suspended registration, and following too closely. She was stopped in the 100 block of South Dee Road at 9:55 p.m. June 9.

Rafal Chylinski, 23, of the 3000 block of North Narragansett Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and no bumper at 8:45 p.m. June 10. Police stopped him at Devon Avenue and Dee Road.

Erika Robles, 28, of the 1300 block of Baldwin Street in Palatine, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and no rear registration plate light. She was pulled over at Potter Road and Manor Lane at 4 a.m. June 14.

STOLEN VEHICLES

A bicycle was taken from a parking garage in the 2600 block of Windsor Mall between 7 p.m. June 4 and 6:30 a.m. June 5.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

Someone damaged a restaurant door in the 500 block of West Higgins Road during an apparent burglary attempt between 10:15 p.m. June 10 and 9 a.m. June 11 Entry was not gained to the business.

WARRANT APPREHENSIONS

Michael A. Sidelnik, 20, of the 1200 block of South Washington Avenue, Park Ridge, was served an outstanding warrant from Chicago for possession of drug paraphernalia. He turned himself in to police at 9:34 p.m. June 8.

VANDALISM REPORTS

Someone scratched the side of a 2003 Toyota Avalon in the 700 block of South Fairview Avenue between noon June 5 and noon June 6.

The paint was scratched on a 2005 BMW X5 in the 1100 block of Fortuna Avenue between. June 5 and June 7.

Someone pulled 10 plants out of the ground at the Park Ridge Country Club and threw them onto Prospect Avenue. The damage occurred before 1:48 a.m. June 6.

An unknown man tried to break a fire extinguisher case at an apartment building in the first block of South Lincoln Avenue at 10 p.m. June 6.

Graffiti was spray-painted on two buildings in the 500 block of Busse Highway between 10 p.m. June 9 and 6 a.m. June 10.
