Police Blotter

The following records are from the files of the Park Ridge Police Dept. The Park Ridge Journal publishes its "Police Blotter" every Wednesday:

DISORDERLY CONDUCT CHARGED

Sean P. Bradley, 24, of the 1000 block of Talcott Road, Park Ridge, was charged with disorderly conduct at 1:55 a.m. Apr. 2. While at 7-Eleven, Talcott Road and Prospect Avenue, he allegedly threw a sandwich and pushed displays at a clerk, police said.

MOB ACTION CHARGED

A 17-year-old Niles man was charged with mob action at 10:45 a.m. Apr. 1. He was taken into custody at Maine East High School.

RUSE ENTRY

Two men came to a home in the 1000 block of West Peterson Avenue at about noon Mar. 25 and convinced the resident they were from a maintenance service. One man took her to the front door and explained parts of the frame needed to be replaced while the other went into the kitchen and ran water. That suspect went into the basement, telling the resident he was checking for leaks. After a few minutes, the resident became suspicious and asked the men to leave. They left and the woman did not find anything to be missing from her home, police said.

DRUG CHARGE

A 17-year-old Chicago man was charged with possession of cannabis at 10:47 p.m. Apr. 1. He was stopped in the 1000 block of West Touhy Avenue.

DUI CHARGED

Brian M. McGovern, 23, of the 1400 block of Granville Avenue in Park Ridge, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. Police took him into custody in the 1400 block of Granville at 2:07 a.m. Apr. 1.

ALCOHOL CHARGES

An 18-year-old Chicago woman was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor at 3:05 a.m. Apr. 4. Police apprehended her at Touhy Avenue and River Road after stopping her for an alleged improper turn.

DRIVING CHARGES

An 18-year-old Des Plaines man was charged with no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance, and failure to dim headlights. An officer pulled him over at 11:50 p.m. Apr. 1 at Delphia Avenue and Oakton Street.

Khaldoun Chawich, 42, of the 4900 block of North Meade Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, improper use of left turn lane, and two counts of failure to yield right of way. He was taken into custody at Cumberland Avenue and the Jane Addams Tollway at 9:59 p.m. Apr. 3.

Joseph W. Corarrubins, 27, of the 4500 block of North Marmora Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, suspended registration, and no proof of insurance at 10:03 p.m. Apr. 3. Police pulled him over at Cumberland and Crescent avenues.

Patrick Vann, 29, of the 1300 block of West Granville Street in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and speeding. He was pulled over at 12:14 a.m. Apr. 4 in the 1900 block of South Cumberland Avenue.

Steven J. Deland, 33, of the 4800 block of North Austin Boulevard in Chicago, was charged with no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance, and failure to signal. He was stopped in the 1000 block of Greenwood Avenue at 8:15 p.m. Apr. 4.

BURGLARIES AND THEFTS

A stereo faceplate was taken from a 1995 Ford Mustang in the 900 block of South Washington Avenue between 10 p.m. Mar. 26 and 8 a.m. Mar. 27.

An mp3 player was taken from a 1999 Dodge Caravan in the 1200 block of Hoffman Avenue between 7 p.m. Mar. 30 and 8:30 a.m. Mar. 31.

A purse was taken from a washroom at a gas station in the 800 block of Higgins Road at about 3:30 a.m. Mar. 27. The purse contained three cellular telephones, the woman said.
