Schmidt HQ Opens Friday
First Ward Alderman and mayoral candidate Dave Schmidt plans the grand opening of his campaign headquarters on Friday, Jan. 9 from 5 to 9 p.m.
"My dining room table was starting to get a little crowded," Schmidt said, laughing. The office, located at 36 Main St., will give him and his campaign volunteers a place to work. Taking and making telephone calls, stuffing envelopes, and organizing the recruitment and work of volunteers will be some of the tasks. "We're getting a lot of offers for volunteers," Schmidt said. He has already furnished the office and is looking forward to the opening. "I'm excited about it."
