Police Blotter

The following records are from the files of the Park Ridge Police Dept. The Park Ridge Journal publishes its "Police Blotter" every Wednesday:

DRUG CHARGES

Aristidis Kastrantas, 33, of the 1500 block of Cherry Street in Park Ridge, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody at his home at 3:46 p.m. Dec. 4.

DUI CHARGES

Pawek Gruska, 28, of the 7100 block of West 95th Street in Oak Lawn, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, no proof of insurance, no valid driver's license, and speeding. He was stopped at 8:35 p.m. Dec. 4 at Touhy Avenue and Talcott Road.

Pearleatha Buck, 45, of the 7100 block of West Gunnison Street in Harwood Heights, was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol at 7:33 p.m. Dec. 5. She was pulled over in the 5100 block of East River Road in Chicago.

DRIVING CHARGES

Dennis Gonzalez, 19, of the 4500 block of North California Boulevard in Chicago, was charged with driving with a revoked driver's license, no proof of insurance, and speeding. Police stopped him at 8:18 p.m. Dec. 2 at Higgins Road and Canfield Avenue.

Richard Cheng, 31, of the first block of South Washington Avenue in Park Ridge, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, no proof of insurance, suspended registration, and disobeying a traffic control device. An officer pulled him over at Touhy Avenue and Northwest Highway at 7:34 a.m. Dec. 3.

Mohsin A. Yousuf, 39, of the 3600 block of North Sacramento Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a revoked driver's license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was taken into custody in the 1900 block of South Cumberland Avenue at noon Dec. 5.

BURGLARIES AND THEFTS

Someone tried to pry an office door in the first block of South Prospect Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and 10:25 a.m. Dec. 3.

A computer, five security cameras, a security monitor, and music equipment were taken from a store in the first block of South Prospect Avenue. The burglary occurred between 6 p.m. Nov. 22 and 4 p.m. Dec. 2.

Someone took an unknown amount of cash from an office in the first block of South Prospect Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and 8:55 a.m. Dec. 3.

About 15 compact discs and headphones were taken from a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 800 block of South Prospect Avenue between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 27 and 6 a.m. Nov. 28.

A purse containing a checkbook, debit cards, and gift cards was taken from a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer in the 900 block of West Touhy Avenue. The burglary occurred between 2:49 and 2:56 p.m. Dec. 1.

A global positioning system and two gift cards were taken from a 2007 Toyota Highlander in the first block of West Glenlake Avenue between 6 p.m. Dec. 1 and 4:30 a.m. Dec. 2.

Someone took about $20 cash from a 2004 Lexus RX330 in the 1400 block of South Grove Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 6 a.m. Dec. 2.

A Christmas decoration was taken from the 900 block of South Fairview Avenue between 6 p.m. Nov. 28 and midnight Nov. 29.

VANDALISM REPORTS

A tire was punctured on a 2006 Ford Expedition in the first block of North Talcott Road between 6 p.m. Nov. 27 and 8 a.m. Nov. 28.

Two tires were punctured on a 2007 Toyota Rav4 in the 400 block of Talcott Road between 11 p.m. Nov. 27 and 1:50 p.m. Nov. 28.

Someone drew graffiti on a 1997 Dodge Intrepid in the 800 block of Busse Highway between 4 p.m. Nov. 26 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 1.

A window was broken and the trunk lock damaged on a 1991 Cadillac Seville in the 1700 block of North Vernon Avenue between 11 p.m. Dec. 2 and 10:54 a.m. Dec. 3.

While driving in the 400 block of Summit Avenue, someone threw a baseball, shattering the windshield of a 2003 Volkswagen Passat. The incident occurred at 1:48 p.m. Dec. 4.

A window was shot with a BB in the 1100 block of South Hamlin Avenue between 6 and 10 p.m. Nov. 25.

Someone damaged a golf cart, windows, lights, and toilets at facilities in the first block of Busse Highway. The damage occurred between 6 p.m. Nov. 27 and 10:17 a.m. Nov. 28.

A door was damaged on a trailer in the first block of Busse Highway before 2:08 p.m. Dec. 3.

A window was broken at an office building in the 200 block of South Prospect Avenue at 6:20 p.m. Dec. 3.

Someone spray-painted graffiti in the 2400 block of Manor Lane between 3 p.m. Nov. 21 and 8:50 a.m. Nov. 30.
