Police Blotter

The following records are from the files of the Park Ridge Police Dept. The Park Ridge Journal publishes its "Police Blotter" every Wednesday:

RUSE

ENTRY

A man came to a woman's door in the 1300 block of Crain Avenue at about 7 p.m. May 3. He claimed to be an old neighbor who used to cut her grass and asked for a drink of water and to use her bathroom. The woman allowed him into her home and he went upstairs to the washroom. When he returned, he said he needed to leave and fled. The woman later noticed her purse containing credit cards, a Social Security card, keys, and $300 cash was missing from her house.

WEAPON

CHARGE

Yaraslau Hudz, 35, of the 2100 block of North Lockwood Avenue in Chicago, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon at 6:35 p.m. May 4. Police took him into custody in the 500 block of Summit Avenue. He was also served an outstanding warrant from Chicago.

DUI

CHARGES

Teresa Filipska, 56, of the 700 block of South River Road in Des Plaines, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving in the wrong lane, and violating the median. An officer pulled her over on Northwest Highway at the Tri-State Tollway at 12:01 a.m. May 7.

Katherine U. Golebiowski, 21, of the 9000 block of North Joey Drive in Niles, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and improper parking at 1:27 a.m. May 9. Police located her at Dempster Street and Vernon Avenue.

DRIVING

CHARGES

Kenneth G. Bulgrin, 22, of the 2200 block of Eastview Drive in Des Plaines, was charged with no valid driver's license and no seatbelt. Police stopped him at 7 p.m. May 6 at Dee Road and Cherry Street.

Toy R. McNeely, 23, of the 7300 block of North Damen Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, no front registration plate, and speeding. An officer pulled her over at Cumberland and Belle Plaine avenues at 7:42 a.m. May 8.

Vasile Creta, 31, of the 800 block of Oakton Street in Park Ridge, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license, no proof of insurance, and failure to signal. He was stopped at 11:27 p.m. May 8 at Greenwood Avenue and Lahon Street.

Pada A. Rodas, 22, of the 4900 block of West Deming Street in Chicago, was charged with no valid driver's license and speeding. Police stopped her at Dee and Higgins roads at 7:15 p.m. May 9.

Ryan T. Cool, 19, of the 5300 block of Suffield Court in Skokie, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and failure to signal. He was pulled over at Potter Road and Farrell Street at 9:21 p.m. May 11.

BURGLARIES

AND THEFTS

A stroller valued at $350 was taken from an unlocked 2004 Ford Expedition in the 1300 block of South Crescent Avenue between 7:45 p.m. May 5 and noon May 6.

A window was broken and a global positioning system, cellular telephone chargers, a wallet with credit cards and $130 cash, and sunglasses were taken from a 2005 Toyota Rav4. The burglary occurred between 11 p.m. May 6 and 11 a.m. May 7 in the 1600 block of West Ballard Road.

Someone ransacked a home in the 800 block of South Seminary Avenue between 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. May 2. It was not known what was taken from the house.

A "for sale" sign was taken from the 800 block of South Greenwood Avenue between 10 p.m. May 1 and 5 a.m. May 2.

Someone took copper from a building in the 100 block of South Washington Avenue during the six months preceding May 8.

VANDALISM

REPORTS

The windshield was broken on a 1994 Lincoln Town Car in the 1600 block of Elliot Street between 1 and 7:47 p.m. May 4.

Someone spray-painted the side of a 2005 Mitsubishi cargo truck in the 800 block of Higgins Road between 4 p.m. May 3 and 8:30 a.m. May 5. They also took the rear license plate from the vehicle.

Someone drew graffiti on a garage in the 1000 block of South Peale Avenue between 7 p.m. May 1 and 12:15 p.m. May 2.

The hood of a 1990 Volvo 240DL was walked on in the 1800 block of West Prairie Avenue between 6:30 p.m. May 7 and 9 a.m. May 8.
