Police Blotter

The following records are from the files of the Park Ridge Police Dept. The Park Ridge Journal publishes its "Police Blotter" every Wednesday:

BATTERY

CHARGED

Timothy J. Lange, 20, of the 7700 block of Westwood Drive in Elmwood Park, was charged with battery at 10:11 a.m. Apr. 29. Police apprehended him in the 1700 block of West Dempster Street.

DRUG

CHARGES

Lukasz Frys, 22, of the 3000 block of North Marmora Avenue in Chicago, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, and improper lane usage. Police stopped him at Touhy Avenue and Chester Street at 11:54 p.m. May 4.

DUI

CHARGES

Jane J. Lee, 20, of the 5300 block of Church Street in Skokie, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. Police stopped her at 1:38 a.m. Apr. 25 at Oakton Street and Cumberland Avenue.

Joel M. Radwanski, 35, of the 1000 block of Shannon Drive in Aurora, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, no proof of insurance, illegal squealing of tires, and loud exhaust. He was pulled over at 12:06 a.m. May 4 at Touhy Avenue and Seminary Drive.

DRIVING

CHARGES

Kenneth R. Sexton, 27, of the 8600 block of West Berwyn Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and no proof of insurance. He was pulled over in the 1300 block of West Higgins Road at 1:17 a.m. Apr. 29.

Ramiro Olvera, 25, of the 5800 block of North Winthrop Avenue in Chicago, was charged with no valid driver's license and loud muffler. Police pulled him over at 6:53 a.m. May 1 at Higgins and Dee roads.

Boyko P. Dimitrov, 40, of the 10000 block of Michael Todd Terrace in Glenview, was charged with no valid driver's license and obstructed windshield at 7:08 a.m. May 1. He was stopped in the 1700 block of North Greenwood Avenue.

Anthonia D. John-Miller, 31, of the 6900 block of North Wolcott Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license and speeding. She was stopped at 1:59 a.m. May 3 at Devon and Canfield avenues.

BURGLARIES

AND THEFTS

A window was broken and a global positioning system taken from a 2008 Lexus in the 900 block of South Cleveland Avenue between 6:45 and 7:30 p.m. Apr. 28.

A global positioning system and about 10 gift cards were taken from a 2005 Acura MDX in the 100 block of South Delphia Avenue. The burglary occurred between 9 p.m. Apr. 27 and 7 a.m. Apr. 28.

Someone broke a window and took a global positioning system from a 2007 Toyota Tacoma in the 1700 block of South Fairview Avenue between 6 p.m. Apr. 28 and 7 a.m. Apr. 29.

A bicycle and a baseball mitt were taken from a driveway in the 300 block of North Knight Avenue between 6:45 p.m. Apr. 24 and 6:30 a.m. Apr. 25.

A bicycle was taken from a parking lot in the 1900 block of South Cumberland Avenue at 4:58 p.m. Apr. 26. A witness saw a man in his 50s ride away on the bike.

A resident in the 600 block of South Vine Street left two bags near her car at 6 p.m. Apr. 30 and they were gone when she returned at 6:30. The bags contained an mp3 player with headphones, shoes, a purse, a gift card, her driver's license, credit cards, a checkbook, business cards, photographs, bills, and business papers.

WARRANT

APPREHENSION

Wanda Wieckowska, 59, of the 200 block of Thames Street in Park Ridge, was served an outstanding warrant from Park Ridge for theft. She allegedly turned herself in to officers at 4:25 p.m. Apr. 28.

VANDALISM

REPORTS

Someone walked on the roof of a 2008 Mazda CX-7 in the 1800 block of Prairie Avenue between 7 p.m. Apr. 25 and 8:55 a.m. Apr. 26. They also broke the windshield, dented the hood, scratched a door, and pushed in the fuel tank door.

Taillights on three pickup trucks were smashed in the first block of South Fairview Avenue at about 4:10 p.m. Apr. 26. Witnesses saw four suspects commit the vandalism, according to the police report.

Someone walked on the hood of a 1990 Toyota Celica GT, denting it and kicking in the windshield, between midnight and 10:30 a.m. Apr. 29. The vehicle was parked in the 1900 block of Des Plaines Avenue.

An outdoor light pole was damaged and a flowerpot tipped over in the 600 block of South Crescent Avenue between 7:30 and 9:59 p.m. Apr. 25.

Someone broke a window and damaged a light fixture at a church in the 300 block of West Touhy Avenue between 6 p.m. Apr. 25 and 7 a.m. Apr. 27.

A mirror was smashed outside an office building in the 1300 block of West Higgins Road and the contents of a dumpster strewn about. The damage occurred between 3:30 a.m. and 11:48 p.m. Apr. 27.

Graffiti was spray-painted on walls and dumpsters in the first block of South Prospect Avenue between 10 p.m. Apr. 30 and 7 a.m. May 1.

Wires were damaged at the railroad crossing at Summit Street and Washington Avenue between noon and 1 p.m. Apr. 26, causing the gates to malfunction.
