Fireworks, Fun Thursday Night

Park Ridge's community fireworks display, funded by resident donations, is planned for dusk tomorrow night (Thursday), July 3.

Festivities include games starting at 6:30 p.m. at Maine East High School at Dempster Street and Potter Road. At 8 p.m., the Park Ridge Fine Arts Orchestra will entertain with a Celebrate America concert. The performance will include folk songs and patriotic tunes that portray America plus Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture accompanied by fireworks.

Parking for the event is $5 per car; residents donating $100 or more toward the display are eligible for a preferred parking pass for the event.

Co-sponsors of the fireworks are the City of Park Ridge, the Recreation and Park Dist., the Park Ridge Fine Arts Society, Park Ridge Kiwanis Clubs, and Maine Township High School more toward the display are eligible for a preferred parking pass for the event.
