Still No Decision On Manager

About an hour of discussion did not lead to the selection of a new city manager for Park Ridge.

The council met in closed session on Monday, Apr. 14, but could not reach an agreement.

"No candidate received a majority," confirmed Ald. David Schmidt (1st) the next morning. "We had a spirited discussion, but no final decision was made."

Schmidt said after a preliminary vote, the council decided to eliminate one candidate from the running, but chose to wait another week before making the final decision.

"We needed more reflection," he said.

The council plans another closed meeting on Monday, Apr. 21 to choose a replacement for Tim Schuenke who retired from the position on Feb. 29.
