Street Resurfacing Planned For 5.5 Miles Within City

Street resurfacing will begin shortly on 5.5 miles of Park Ridge streets after the City Council approved a contract with J.A. Johnson Paving of Arlington Heights at its meeting on Monday, Apr. 7.

The company was the low bidder for the job at a price of $1,108,052.16. Only one other company submitted a bid for the task.

The project will start with concrete work, followed by grinding off the existing surface, and then the installation of two separate layers of new asphalt. The streets will be posted no parking during work hours; however, overnight and weekend street parking will be permitted.

Austin Avenue from Brookline Lane to Washington Avenue

Cherry Street from Redfield Court to Broadway Avenue, from Washington Avenue to East Avenue

Chester Avenue from Touhy Avenue to Belle Plaine Avenue

Clifton Avenue from Stewart Avenue to Belle Plaine Avenue

Clinton Street from Cedar Street to Grant Place

Cumberland Avenue from Oakton Street to West North Terrace

Dee Road from Manor Lane to Habberton Avenue

Elm Street from Dee Road to Hamlin Avenue

Grant Place from Prospect Avenue to Washington Avenue

Grove Avenue from Devon Avenue to Glenlake Avenue

Hamlin Avenue from Busse Highway to Seeley Avenue
