Helmer To Join Chicago Executive Airport Board
Chicago Executive Airport (CEA) recently announced the appointment of Nicholas J. Helmer to its board of directors.
Helmer currently sits on the City of Prospect Hts. Water Committee. He serves as chairman of Inland Great Lakes, LLC and is currently a director of Inland Bank, where his primary focus is asset liability compliance and marketing communication for the bank's commercial loan services.
He is a certified property manager, a licensed real estate broker and holds a degree in business communications from Loyola University's Mundelein College.
Helmer has been involved with the airport since he first took flight lessons in 1981. In 1988, former Prospect Hts. Mayor Jack Gilligan appointed him to the Airport Commission, where he served a 12-year term.
Helmer believes that it is the role of the CEA board to work closely with the administrations of the City of Prospect Hts. and the Village of Wheeling.
"Mr. Helmer's knowledge and aviation experience will assist him in serving our city, the airport, as well as our communities," said Prospect Hts. Mayor Dolly Vole.
CEA, an intergovernmental cooperative of the City of Prospect Hts. and the Village of Wheeling, is a major aviation facility serving the general aviation and corporate aviation community. Current board members include Chairman E. Alan Englehart, Darlene Ahlstedt, Dean Argiris, David Kolssak, Luis Mendez and Larry Widmer.
